Hi everyone -

I wanted to make a demo tutorial of what settings I use in photomatix and my post-processing work in PS.

I got a little carried away and the video is 53 min long!  YIKES!

Anyway, you can see it here:

http://exposureroom.com/59f0b6aaeaf345619bbfeca7c3453b09/

If you want to see a version via Quicktime (MP4), you can see it here:

http://www.hdrforum.com/tutorial1.mp4

but you'll need to download it completely first.

It is not perfect, but I just wanted to give everyone a general idea of my workflow after the merge of exposures (which I don't show in this tutorial).
Please no making fun of my terrible voice. Smiley

Any comments, questions, or concerns, PLEASE let me know!

Melanie

Hey Melanie...I just watched your 53 minute tutorial and it was quite a roller coaster ride...I don't think I've made as many masks in my life as you did in this video.  I guess I better get on the ball...I learned a ton and I want to thank you a ton for making the video.  I think my HDR skills learning curve just got a little bit shorter and flatter thanks to you.  I don't use RAW but obviously I'm going to have to make that transition to take advantage of its capabilities as well now that I see how it's done...UR AWESOME!

Thanks Again

P.S.  please leave this video available as I intend to watch it several more times...

Awh, shucks...Thanks so much for the kind comments.

Yes, I suppose that I could narrow down the masking, but the more masks you make, the less edits you have on each mask and therefore, if you have to undo something, you don't 'undo' your entire color edit!

One thing I need to do more of in the future is label all of those masks.  I'm lazy!

I'll leave that video up indefinitely so that other people can view it if they wish.
