I have posted nearly 45 HDR and pseudo-HDR images to my Facebook Gallery.  I did not elect to choose Flickr as has been prompted here in Strictly HDR.  Why?  Simply a personal choice, based on time and convenience.  If anyone here has a Facebook account and would like to review my HDR photos ( warning: lots of old cars and buildings, rather mundane subject matter, and a few landscapes), please feel free.  Search for 'Rick Landry' on Facebook, and explore my photo Gallery.  I would enjoy the feedback.  Thanks.

This is not meant as a criticism or to offend, but why don't you post your images here? After all, that is the whole purpose of this site. Also, many people do not have or do not want to have a Facebook account, and therefore would be deprived of seeing your images

Respectfully,

You know, David, it just appears that you and I are chemical opposites or something...because no matter what the subject, we're at loggerheads.  I don't post on Flickr because I don't like how Flickr "works", or doesn't work well.  I have a long history of belonging to various forums, starting way back when they were all text driven, and didn't have the bells and whistles of today.  For reasons unknown, I've always encountered disproportionately high issues with Yahoo!  So, I try to avoid them.  And somewhere along the line, since there are just so many hours in the day, one needs to delimit their participation in how many forums they belong to, or very quickly become inactive, Hell, forget even to participate, in some.  It was a BIG decision for me to hook up with Strictly HDR, because of this consideration.  So, really, if you or anyone else here doesn't want to belong to Facebook, fine...but let me tell you something:  the "instructions" of how to post photos "here" really leaves a lot to be desired...as in, where the Hell ARE the instructions?  When you sort through it all, it seems to come down to.....go get a Flickr account, whether you want one or not, and then paste links in here back to there?  Well......sheesh...why not just get a Flickr account....or, heck, even a Facebook account, and leave it at that, huh?
To quote the popular vernacular of the hip hop crowd:  "whatever, dude!"

Bittermonk, I don't think David was trying to be contrary.  I think he was just pointing out that, unlike other sites, Facebook requires you to have an account/be someone's friend before you can see the pix.

but let me tell you something:  the "instructions" of how to post photos "here" really leaves a lot to be desired...as in, where the Hell ARE the instructions?

Uhm, if you look at the main page with all of the categories on it, the forth Category from the top is entitled, "How to post photos".  I replaced one of the entries with a clearer lesson, but they are all there...And have been there since the forum started.

Or I suppose you could have asked for clarification...

I'm sorry if the forum is a little unorganized.  I wish I had the knowledge and the endless free time to make it perfect, but it's just not in the cards for me.  I pay for this forum myself and run it myself, just so everyone can have a place to chat about HDR.  Sorry it isn't better.
