Very nice for me!But,to see only the upper part of the door makes me wonder how is the rest:perhaps,there were people passing by all the time...

Perhaps,you can use a software to generate a panorama ,having 2 hdr images : the upper part and the lower part(but I suppose that you have to apply exactly the same set of hdr parameters in order to allow a fine merger).
I had a look at your tutorial :it's nice,well explained,very understandable.

Yes.  A panorama may be the way to go if you cant get it all in the same shot.  Beautiful though.
